A study on targeted spermatic cord block for men with chronic orchialgia (testicular pain) was published in Urology Gold Journal. As a recognized expert in the field, Dr. Kavoussi was asked to write an editorial comment on the study. Per Dr. Kavoussi, spermatic cord block has a role in men with chronic orchialgia when considering their candidacy for an opportunity for a surgical cure with a spermatic cord denervation, but cord blocks are not 100% predictive either.
